A franchisee is a holder of a franchise or someone granted a franchise by a franchiser. A lot of people get in the ‘franchise bandwagon’ thinking that everything will be ‘OK’ once they get in. Nothing could further from the truth.
You are responsible for your success. The franchiser only shows you how things work, optionally lend you the business name, and also optionally trains. But without your active participation in your business, you may as well throw your money down the drain.
You are on your own. No matter how much the franchiser tells you that they will help you, there is only so much they can do for you. When you get a franchise, make sure you have the ability to run it on your own.
